About Our Church
The Moravian Church is a Christ-centered, Bible-directed, people-oriented Christian denomination with an active congregational life, offering opportunities for worship, study, fellowship and service.
Moravians are the oldest worldwide group of Protestant Christians, serving Christ since 1457, beginning in Moravia (present-day Czech Republic). In 1727, renewal swept through the small Moravian community remaining in Germany, inspiring a deep commitment to intercessory prayer and global missions.
Today, we are a mainline, evangelical, ecumenical church with a humble approach to faith and life, striving together to live out our motto: “In Essentials, Unity; In Non-Essentials, Liberty; In All Things, Love.” Most importantly, a Moravian is a fellow believer, a follower, a student and servant of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
If you are looking for a place where you will be helped to grow in the Spirit; encouraged in your walk with Jesus; and equipped to share your gifts of faith, love and hope with God and neighbor – we’ve got good news for you!

Brother Bruce Shoger began lay leadership work with the Lake Auburn Moravian Church in January of 2025. Rev. Jason Andersen from the Western District Board was on hand to celebrate with Brother Shoger and the Lake Auburn congregation as they began their ministry and mission work together. The District Board is most grateful to be in ongoing conversation with the Lake Auburn Joint Board and Brother Shoger about what future congregational leadership will look like. Please hold Brother Shoger and the Lake Auburn congregation in your prayers.
Beautiful, tranquil location for my Uncle's celebration of life. Very kind helpful folks pitched in and it went very smoothly.
